Gideon USA completed a base-wide roads re-paving firm fixed price task order at Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, TX. Work comprised the demolition, haul-off and milling for a full-depth reconstruction of all main roads including sealing and re-striping of lanes. In addition, scope included curbs, gutters and the demolition and replacement of an underground storm water drainage system. This project included 6,000 linear feet of mill and overlay, 7,000 feet of fully reconstructed asphalt of varying depths and a total of approximately 30,000 cubic yards of asphalt. The storm water system included demolition and replacement of concrete water storm pipe, lateral storm water lines and manholes, along with high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. To meet unique client needs, Gideon coordinated closely with NAVFAC and the base command on traffic, safety and logistical measures and worked double shifts and weekends. As a result, the project was accepted approximately two months ahead of schedule.
