Gideon Contracting was selected to provide a new raised walkway and stairs assembly at a fueling station at NAS CC. Gideon first demolished the existing light poles and other vertical obstructions at the truck fueling station. We then erected a 60’ by 54’ steel canopy with an internal height of 20’ over the existing truck fueling station. Gideon also erected a 36’ by 18’ with 10’ internal height steel canopy over the fueling equipment area. Both canopies were made to withstand wind load of at least 130mph, ground snow of at least 10 psf and a live load of at least 20psf. Both canopies were also built with galvanized corrosion resistant material, and explosion proof switches and auto-off daylight Sensor switch.
